Have you ever experienced the trouble about the baby feeding and sleeping schedule? Have you ever experienced that your baby actives with day and night reserved, your baby could sleep very long in the day time but don't want to go to sleep at the night. You would feel exhausted about this, because you would not have a good sleep if the baby would not like sleep at night. Here is some advise and a 0-1 year baby feeding and sleeping schedule example. This might help you to get out of this trouble. Any schedule tables can only be references, this could be adjusted flexibility, because baby is not a machine, and parental is not a science, it can't be accurate. Besides, every baby is different, adjust the schedule when needed.
Baby sleep at night may become a little bit longer around three months, especially when you can ensure breastfeeding during the day between once every three hours. For example, you can feed your baby before putting her asleep at seven o'clock in the evening, and then you should feed your baby once again before you go to sleep.
Basing on this Breastfeeding interval, baby will need the feeding at 3 AM in the morning. After that, you and your baby can go to sleep until 7 o'clock AM. However, if baby is in the rapid growth stage, you will be prepared to be disturbed. Baby will need more feeding at this stage. If you use the diaper cream on baby's butt (15% Zinc Oxide cream, or some thing similar, for example Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment Diaper Rash and Dry Skin Protectant or Burt's Bees Baby Bee 100% Natural Diaper Rash Ointment) and only baby pee at night, then you don't need to change the diaper in the night.
Typical modes are as follows:
0-6 weeks, this is an irregular stage, both mom and baby are adapted. Baby could need feeding at any time. Here is some advice, feeding when baby need it at any time, and take your rest immediately when baby is sleep, or rest, or not crying. Don't turn on the lights at the night. If you do need, turn on a nightlight.
6 weeks - 3 months, the baby starts to distinguish between day and night gradually. You can try to guide your baby according to Tracy Easy mode "Eat - Activity - Sleeping - You". Use 3 hours as the circle time at this stage. Normally, the baby needs 16-18 hours sleep at this stage.
3 to 6 months, baby can sleep twice or three time at daytime and not over two hours at one time. They will need once or twice feeding at night. You could change the circle time to 4 hours for the Tracy Easy Mode at the daytime. Baby could sleep longer at the night. Mom should attempt to feed your baby before go to sleep and then observe if they can sleep longer if you do so.
7 to 12 months, baby needs more time to active. Baby can sleep twice at daytime, around half an hour at one time. And some baby might need a short time sleep at nightfall. And they can sleep up to 12 hours a night. Around seven or eight months, moms should try to help your baby out of the night feeding. You can try to diminish the feeding time at night. Some baby may need feeding at night until 8 or 9 months. Although lots of bigger babies have the feeding around twelve o'clock , they still want feeding at night. If you want to change this situation, moms need to spend a lot of time and effort to comfort your baby, but not feeding. This process can not be meet at one time and you need step by step.
At last, I have to emphasize it again, each baby is different. As parent, you must be very patient to observe your baby habit, and set up a schedule for your own baby, instead of totally following the above example.
